We Provide Comprehensive Care of Foot and Ankle Disorders, Conditions, and Injuries

As foot and ankle surgical specialists, Dr. Elias and Dr. Hunstman are able to provide comprehensive care including surgical, non-surgical, and acute treatment for all conditions, disorders, and injuries of the foot and ankle.

Podiatric Sports Medicine

Proper medical care in podiatric sports medicine is very important. The feet are the base of the support system for the human body and your mobility. Dr. Huntsman and Dr. Elias are surgical foot and ankle specialists trained for acute injuries, traumatic or chronic.

Biomechanical Analysis and Functional Orthotic Fabrication

  • Biomechanical analysis is highly important in the treatment and prevention of foot and ankle injury. Foot assessment is necessary to classify the type of foot to determine aetiological factors that can be relating to the injury or because for therapeutic intervention in injury prevention. Every patient has a unique foot structure with varying characteristics whether it be the arch of the foot itself of the posture of the foot through the ankle to the leg, it is important to receive a comprehensive analysis to fit the patient's exact needs.

Acute Foot and Ankle Fractures/Injuries

  • Foot and Ankle Injuries are common and getting the proper professional medical care is imperative for proper healing. Common symptoms to watch out for in foot injuries include pain and tenderness in the toe, pain when walking or putting weight on the foot, redness or bruising, stiffness, and swelling.

Custom-Fitted Orthotics

  • Custom-made orthotics are individualized shoe inserts made specifically for you, to support and comfort your feet. Prescription orthotics are custom-crafted to match the contours of your feet and designed for the way you move. There are two types of custom-fitted orthotics: Functional and Accommodative. Function orthotics are built to control abnormal motion and are used to treat foot pain caused by this motion. Accommodative orthotics are softer, meant to provide cushioning for diabetic foot ulcers, painful calluses on the bottom of the feet and any other uncomfortable conditions.

State-of-the-art Digital X-ray Services

  • Foot and ankle injuries or pain often require a Digital X-Ray for a full understanding of an underlying issue. Digital X-Ray is a revolutionary way to specifically review and measure in prescribing the correct foot or ankle injury treatment. Not only is it easy and advanced, but it is also substantially cheaper than an x-ray in a hospital or outpatient center, less than 1/5th of the cost.

Work-Related/BWC Foot and Ankle Injuries

  • We are a BWC-certified provider credentialed for work-related injuries.

Diabetic Foot Care

Taking comprehensive care of your feet while living with diabetes is very important, even the smallest issues can cause massive consequences. Diabetic nerve damage, known as neuropathy can cause you to lose feeling in your feet. Diabetes can also lead to reduced blood flow to the feet, making it harder to heal and resist infection. Losing sensation can lead to you not being able to feel a consistent pressure on the foot, leading to a blister or sore which can lead to infection, nonhealing, and put you at risk of amputation.

Diabetic Shoes and Insoles/Custom-Fitted Orthotics

  • If your shoes are not doing the trick with diabetic foot care, diabetic shoes or insoles can provide you with the comfort and relief you need to keep your diabetic foot pain symptoms at bay. We will work with you to get you the safest and most comfortable footwear for your specific level of need.

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) Injections

PRP or platelet-rich plasma is exactly what it sounds like, it is the plasma of the blood which is saturated with platelets. Platelets are stem cells, containing growth factors which lead to an inflammatory response and kick-starting the body into recovery mode to help heal an injury.
