Highland Podiatry Associates Cleveland Podiatrists
Specialists in Foot & Ankle Care
Podiatry is a very interesting field of medicine. Podiatrists are specialist physicians who are educated and trained specifically in the medical care of feet and really anything involved below the knee.
Unlike the hands, the feet aren’t just another part of the body, there is something very important about them. Your feet and ankles are your source of mobility and support your body’s weight and movement. Conditions of the feet and ankles can affect the entire body because discomfort in movement will cause bodily compensations that can lead to the development of further issues.
Podiatrists are physicians that attend a specialized medical school called podiatric medical school, where the coursework is very similar to normal medical school but with a focus and training in the feet and ankles.
Because podiatrists are specialized they are more often surgeons than not, unlike regular physicians where going into surgery is not as common.
Highland Podiatry Associates provides foot and ankle care to the Cleveland community in two convenient locations in Highland Heights and Sagamore Hills. The podiatric specialists at Highland Podiatry Associates are specially trained podiatrists to take the best care of your feet and ankles.
